As you know things have been particularly quiet on the music front for Phobea since Chancers. That’s changed recently, industry interest is growing and Phobea gives us a brief insight into what he’s been up to “I know I’ve been quiet. To be honest, real life kinda got in the way. Back when they picked me up for Chancers I was just finishing College, in fact I had to quit early in order to fly out to New York to do the filming and ended up without the full qualification. I had bills to pay and despite the massive exposure I had gotten, I wasn’t ready to make a career out of music.

I spent about a year doing design work on the side whilst making music as my 9-5, but it wasn’t bringing enough money in to pay the bills so in 2005 I ended up taking a full-time job as a designer. Working every hour under the sun at the office I didn’t have the time or energy to make music and that’s been the story ever since.

It never really bothered me though, Chancers ended up tainting my image so badly I didn’t even want to be involved in the music scene anymore. It wasn’t their fault, it was my fault for signing up. I was naive, but I’ve learnt my lesson. And now I reckon it’s about time I got back to doing the only thing I ever enjoyed doing - making music. None of that bullshit trying to get a record deal, just music, for you, for me.”
